Interview with Jesús Ochoa Silva macelifter IMF Amateur, cat. 10 kg (Venezuela IMF Representative)
IMF: Hello Jesus, introduce yourself so that we get to know you better. (Where do you live, where do you train?...)
JOS: My name is Jesus Ochoa Silva, I live in Las Rozas - Madrid and I work as a personal trainer at the Holmes Place de las Rozas gym, where I also train.
IMF: How and when did you start training with a mace?
JOS: I started training with a mace in 2016, when I got my certification with Gastón.
IMF: What do you like most about Macelifting?
JOS:I like how fluid it is and how it can adapt perfectly to any type of training, in addition to the benefits and improvements in grip strength.
IMF: What advice would you give to new macelifters who want to start practicing this sport?
JOS: I encourage them to train and enjoy exploring new tools.
IMF: Right now you are in the 10 kg mace category, you are two steps away from reaching the professional category. What do you think you need to achieve it?
JOS: I need to have a little more continuity, because I have not focused so much on macelifting as a sport, but more on it as a tool that complements my strength workouts.
IMF: What is your favourite swing, 300 ° or 360 ° and why?
JOS: I like the 300º, because it is very fluid and once you get the pace you don't stop. Although I enjoy both, the 300 is my favorite.
IMF: Which test of Bulava Lifting do you like the most? why?
JOS: I really like mills, for all the benefits they bring globally and all the work on the cross-sectional plane.
IMF: If you were on an island and could only train with a macebell, what weight would it be?
JOS: a 12.5kg it would be ideal, it is the one I would use at the moment, because it would force me to improve.
IMF: How did the coronavirus pandemic affect your workouts?
JOS: I had to modify all my training and start training with kettlebells, macebells, bulavas and clubbells again So it has helped me enjoying these tools as I used to.
IMF: What do you think about Double Swing 360 ° test?
JOS: Hahahaha I find it quite complicated, I did not have the opportunity to try it yet.
IMF: How do you imagine Macelifting in ten years?
JOS. A discipline that will continue evolving and adding followers around the world.
IMF: Thank you very much Jesus for sharing your story with us.

Entrevista a Jesús Ochoa Silva macelifter IMF Amateur
cat. 10 kg (Representante IMF Venezuela)
